When my old
credit card account was sold to MetaBank my rates jumped 2% on the previous
card balance, even though I was not actively using the account or accepted the new credit card offered. They claimed I had 30-days to reject this rate increase, which according to the various
customer service individuals (many) was inclulded in a notice they claim was mailed to me. One individual even agrued it was only $5.00, so why was I upset. The only notice I have did not give the rate and looked like the routine
junk mail, that we all receive daily. I did not know the rate increase until my new bill, this month. Guess what - When I contacted them, they informed me it was too late, I only had 30-days from receiving the letter. Terrible bank, stay away.
